5 Songs I Can't Live Without!!
Hi Hi Hi,
We're in Albany now....playing tonight at the Sawyer Theatre. Any of you coming out for the show? We've been on tour for a while now and it's been so much fun!! But as you can imagine we've spent ALOT of time on the bus.
Here are 5 of my favorite songs that we've been listening to over and over ..... and over again on the bus...and of course singing along to at the top of our lungs. Our driver's probably about ready to strangle us ;)
JEFF BUCKLEY "LAST GOODBYE" LORI MCKENNA "ONE MAN" RACHAEL YAMAGATA "ELEPHANT" JONI MITCHELL "FREE MAN IN PARIS" WATERBOYS "WHOLE OF THE MOON"
BTW....I was so impressed with how many of you turned in your "FAVORITES" lists that here's homework assignment #2 --
If you were on a bus driving cross country, what would your 5 "MUST HAVE" songs be?
Post your lists as a comment and I promise I'll be checking back in after the show tonight! I'm in need of some new tunes for my ipod, so I can't wait to see what songs you LURVE.......
xo

September 11, 2007I'll be on the Premiere of Perez's Show Tonight -- YIKES!!!!!Hey guys, We just rolled into Virginia and we're playing at a place called the Birchmere this evening. If you're at home tonight and looking for something to watch on the tube....I'm going to be on the premiere of Perez's show "What Perez Sez" on VH1. I'm not gonna lie....I'm a little nervous to see it. You never know what that Perez is going to say or do......or what color his hair is going to be. Ya gotta love him!! During the interview, Perez definitely brought out a little bit of my wild side. He had me saying some good ole' fashioned curse words (sorry mom...) and taught me how to pole dance -- I let him believe it was my first time -- hee hee. He also asked if he could direct my next video....what do you think?? He should probably just stick to what he does best.....scandalous gossip...just not about me pleaz ;) Because of the show tonight, I'm Tivo'ing Perez, but won't be able to watch it until later on....so you guys all have to check it out and let me know how it is.... He shot some of the show during the VMA's so Pete Wentz, Amy Winehouse and Gym Class Heroes are supposed to be on it too. xo MM

September 6, 2007These are a few of my favorite things...
Hey Hey,
Had the day off yesterday – did a little shopping, ate some decent food and just relaxed with the band. Our St. Petersburg show the other night was really fun. We played a cool outdoor venue called the Jannus Landing. The audience there was awesome and Rachael Yamagata played too. If you guys haven’t heard her, you need to check her out – especially her song Elephant – it’s one of my personal favorites. We’re just rolling into Atlanta now where we’ll play tonight. I can’t believe it’s already September and summer’s practically over. It really hit me when I was shopping yesterday and every store had big wool sweaters on the models. It flew by way too fast. I bet you guys started school this week didn’t you? What did you wear on your first day? The first day of school for me was always exciting, yet terrifying at the same time. I always loved shopping for my back-to-school bag and fun new notebooks, though. So in honor of back to school – I’m giving you guys a homework assignment... I took this "favorites quiz" on the bus last night and here are my answers: MY FAVORITES: Heels or flat? BOTH Dresses or Jeans? BOTH Dogs or Cats? DOGS Salty or Sweet? SWEET Sunrise or Sunset? SUNRISE Winter or Summer? SUMMER Los Angeles or NYC? NYC Beach or Pool? BEACH RollerCoasters or Ferris Wheels? ROLLERCOASTERS Regular or Diet? REGULAR Black or White? BLACK Christmas or Halloween? CHRISTMAS Lucky Charms or Special K? SPECIAL K Movies: Comedies or Tear Jerkers? COMEDIES TV: Dramas or Sitcoms? SITCOMS Your assignment is to take the quiz and post your answers as a comment below. I’ll be checking in after the show tonight to make sure you all turned your homework in – so get crackin’!! Xo MM
