New Movie & Light Bulbs For Burma

Hey guys,

Tours over and I'm back in LA now....getting some rest, catching up with friends. Thanks so much to all of you that came to my shows. What'd ya think? I had a blast on tour. Can't wait to do it again!!

hmmmm...what else is going on...

oh.....Nov. 9, you must all go see Southland Tales espeically if you were a fan of Donnie Darko. I make a little cameo appearance in it. You might not recognize me -- my hair is super blonde!!!!

Other than that...I have a big favor to ask of you guys...it'll actually be kinda fun...lets see how creative you can get....take a picture of yourself and your friends with a light bulb and post it HERE. I'll be taking one this weekend too!

***Ok....raising the stakes on this....seems we got a little friendly competition going on with some of the other artists on Buzznet and I wanna win ;)....any of you who post a pic to the link above will get a spot in my top friends -- so leave me a comment back here once you've posted your photo and let the games begin!!! For those of you who asked "why a light bulb" -- its to signify that we are committed to helping as much as we can and not leave them in dark :)

"It's somewhat of a foreign concept for me to care so much about a record," Mandy Moore says. "I really haven't had the personal involvement on anything in the past, not like I do with this one."

Moore is proudly referring to her new album, Wild Hope, which she co-wrote with Lori McKenna, the Weepies, Rachael Yamagata and a slew of other critically acclaimed singer-songwriters. Recorded at Allaire Studios and produced by John Alagia, the man behind the boards on John Mayer’s 2001 debut "Room for Squares', Wild Hope was released on June 19th via The Firm Music.

In one sense, Moore's album is a collection of songs -- completed and compiled over a lengthy period of time, a project on which a pop artist lavishes overwhelming amounts of her energy, conviction, attention, and heart -- such as appears regularly in the ever-ongoing pop-music marketplace.

But for the New Hampshire-born, Orlando-raised 23-year-old, this particular release and how it was accomplished represents something decidedly new.
