'How I Met Your Mother' and my weekend playlist

Hey guys,

Greetings from the road...what's up with all of you?

Today's a free day -- YAY-- so I'm trying to catch up on some much needed rest, but

I'm getting really excited for "How I Met Your Mother" tonight. Hope you're all gonna

be in front of the tv tonight watching! Feels like we shot the episode ages ago

already....it was so fun. Honestly, what do ya think of the tats? Can I pull them

off? They're not quite as impressive as Kat Von D's, huh?

So, over the weekend, I had some time to look through all the songs you guys

love...and all I can say is WOW!  There were some awesome ones in there....alot that

I haven't heard, so I'm exited to check them out...some that I was like -- "oh yeah, I

forgot all about that song" and some that I listen to all the time.  I'm going to put

together a bunch of playlists from the songs you guys suggested and include some

Hey Mandy... definitely going to be watching "How I Met Your Mother" tonight... are you going to be tuning in?

And you can pull off those tattooes :)... do you have any?

By the way, "Blowers Daughter" by Damien Rice is an amazing song! I heard it in the movie "Closer" with Julia Roberts and Jude Law; I didn't think too many people knew that song! Glad to see that you do :)...

Have you heard of Imogen Heap? She's from the UK. She has a song in the movie "The Last Kiss"; it's an amazing song!! It makes me tear up everytime I hear it. She also has a few songs on "The O.C." Soundtracks. She's more of an Indie artist as well.

Another great artist that I suggest you check out is Jenny Lewis. She was in Toronto a few months ago; she played @ a small church on Bloor St. and my Aunt and I went to see her. She was absolutely amazing! Her music actually kind of reminds me of Rachael's, it's very personal and vulnerable.

Anyways, hope you're doing well!

Nice.
I tend to listen mostly to Indie rock, Indie folk, okay just Indie...and Rock. I'm an Austinite, so go figure - we're not the "Live Music Capital" for nothing. A scene Mandy belongs in as she grows, would so totally thrive on it. Should play Waterloo records. But, moving on...

here's a playlist from me - Everybody check 'em out...even if you haven't heard of the band listed (yes I listen to a lot of lesser-knowns sometimes)...check 'em out.

1) the Weepies - The World Spins Madly On [okay I know you know them, but I'm pretty much obsessed with this song right now lol]
2) the Weepies- Love Doesn't Last Too Long
3) Anna Nalick - Wreck of the Day
4) People in Planes - If You Talk Too Much My Head Will Explode [w/full intro is best]
5) The Lucksmiths - Self-Preservation
6) Damone - On My Mind
7) Fire Kills - Myopia [rock]
8) The Donnas - Gold Medal
9) Camera Obscura - Let Me Go Home [from album "Underachievers Please Try Harder" lol]
10) Cruiserweight - Have You Had One Of Those Days?
11) Cruiserweight - Goodbye Daily Sadness [a beautifully Positive song!]
[okay and there's a funny lyric "I'm standing over 7 feet tall, no I'll never be scared at all" that's only hilarious because Stella is, at most, 5' ...it's a great image but not the point really... lol]
12) 8mm - Save Yourself
13) Mike Doughty - Looking At The World From The Bottom of a Well
14) Palo Alto - Some Things Must Go This Way
15) Wilco - I'm Always in Love
16) Luna - Speedbumps
17) Voxtrot - Start of Something
18) My Favorite - Happiest Days of My Life
19) Ok GO - Do What You Want
20) Neutral Milk Hotel - The King of Carrot Flowers
21) Catfight - Not In Love [not sure if this song is still around anywhere, but if you can find it, do]
22) Shiny Toy Guns - Don't Cry Out
23) Cibo Matto - Stone
24) David Gallegos - Another White Day [okay a talented flamenco friend of mine - but hey he's on iTunes so check it]
25) Mari Wilson - Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps
26) Death Cab for Cutie - Soul Meets Body
27) Dorp - London Out There [rock/UK]
28) Angels & Airwaves - The Adventure
29) Juice Newton - Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me [still a great song!]
30) Manfred Mann - Runner

There's some dark, some light and every odd thing inbetween - keeps the brain busy in an easy-does-it way. heh :')

You have wonderful taste in music! Love the Maroon 5, John Mayer & Rachael. Lately i've been so picky with music, but I think i've found a whole bunch of soulfull music that I adore. 5 more from me!

What Ever Happened - The Strokes
Wise Up - Aimee Mann
Forever - The Beach Boys (This song was on an episode of Full House I just adored when I was little-er lol)
Juste Un Peu di Silence - Calogero & Elisa Trovati
Mad World - Gary Jules

Dude, just watched "How I Met Your Mother". I cried laughing =P I've never seen that show before but there are some funny people there, oh man. Great tattoos ahaha ^^ I loved how Nothing That You Are was playing in the background. I was like heeyyyyyyy I know that songgg!
